I only wish that the pad wrapped around covered the sides of the chair, so that any food crumbs stayed on top of the cover. The dimension of chair pad can be deceiving and make the actual seat look smaller, but it is more roomy than expected.
I wish I would have gone for the darker pad color in hindsight. I debated purchasing another FP Healthy Care Booster Seat, since we had great success with that: very compact, EASY to assemble, transportable, inexpensive, but this updated version offered more bells and whistles-important to us was the ability to modify how we use it as my son grows.
#Space saver high chairs plus
This space saver option met our needs, plus some. We were in need of a new high chair to replace our bulky old one from 5 years ago-Our criteria: take up very little space, easy to clean, under $100 (Under $50 would be perfect). I can see it grows with my son and expect it to last til they're out grown the high chair. Very impressive that they thought about tiny details to improve the product. The design is super cute! It has a clip on both end when you put it in the seat, to keep it from moving. So you have to wash the whole tray, instead of just removing the top tray. This one does not have two pieces removable tray like the older version. An adjustable height is a nice touch since tables are made with different height these days. This might be me but seems like the when it's in recline position, the tray seems to be a bit weird, like it's slpe down. Since the older version doesn't have this features so I had to put her on my lap to feed her solid food. I can feed him in his chair! I am so excited about this features. I LOVE that you can recline the seat! My son can't sit up without slumbing over so this reclining comes in handy. The plastic material is sturdy but much thinner than the older version. Quite disappointed but not a deal breaker. Anyway, my husband helped me and the rest was a breeze.One thing I noticed is the loose thread where the straps pulls through. The only reason I took them apart was because it was quite tricky to get the base pieces to attach to the seat and the pictures in the instruction book wasn't very clear. I took apart the base(it came with two pieces attatch together), HUGE mistake! I had to ask my husband to help me put these two back together. I had a hard time trying to assemble it myself. This newer version is a little bit different than the older model. My older is 2.5 years old and my youngest 6 months now so I have pretty good idea what I am comparing this SpaceSaver High Chair against, especially that I have the older model of this SpaceSaver one with my oldest. The Pink Ellipse SpaceSaver High Chair's top straps are separate from the waist straps! They interlock for buckling, but you can simply pull them over your child's shoulder and attach, rather than fight for their arm to weave it inside the strap! Genius! I've had no power struggles with the arms of my child since using the Pink Ellipse SpaceSaver High Chair! We absolutely love this chair! We've had other high chairs in the past and this is my favorite by far!įirst of, I am a mother of two.
In most 5 point harnesses you have to nearly pry your child's arm through the straps while they fight against you in an epic battle of wills. Our favorite feature of the Pink Ellipse SpaceSaver High Chair is the ease and functionality of the safety straps. The tray is also easy to clean in the sink and replace on the chair for the next meal. If you only have one hand available, you can unlatch one side and lift toward the opposite side to release the tray, which is a nice feature when you just don't have a second hand available. The tray attaches easily - the attachments are on both sides of the tray. We adjusted ours to the higher height and it works perfectly. There are two options for adjusting the height of the chair so that your child can sit at the table with the family for meals. It is a soft, beautiful shade of pink that isn't wild enough to clash with decor. The high chair pad fits very securely and is machine washable. It feels quite secure even on our padded, upholstered dining room chair, with a strap going under our dining chair and a strap wrapping around the back of the dining chair. It was a breeze to put together: the instructions were very clear, assembly was minimal, and it was secured onto our chair in minutes. We are in love with our new Pink Ellipse SpaceSaver High Chair.
